User accounts
ICT sets up user accounts for staff and students and guests, providing
authorised access to College’s IT.
Your username and password are allocated before you arrive for use
across all IT services at Imperial, from Student e-Service to your email
account and the WiFi network.
If you have forgotten your College username or password, go to
https://www.imperial.ac.uk/ict/passwords
Email and file sharing
Your Imperial email account can be accessed via any campus computer
or using a web browser at:
https://www.imperial.ac.uk/office365 for all undergraduates
https://exchange.imperial.ac.uk for postgraduates and staff
We are in the process of migrating postgraduate and staff mailboxes
onto the same system as undergraduates.
You can add your email account to your personal computer or mobile
device: http

Anything else to be aware of?
Your computer desktop area
• This is part your user profile, this is limited to 50MB of storage (including
system files) but logons will be slower and you will be more at risk of profile
corruption the larger your roaming profile gets. If you try to store something
very large on your desktop, and it does not copy to the server upon logoff it
will be lost. Try not to use the desktop area for data but instead use links to
your home directory or other drives.
