Interview
• My mom and my dad were both living and working in Dominica before they moved to America in 2008, for better
opportunities. My dad left behind his dad and mum, and my mom left her mom and dad who were all retired.
• When my mom and dad got to America they landed in New Jersey and they lived in an apartment in North Brunswick New
Jersey where I was born. My dad was working as an IT Engineer, and my mom was in school (not the school you are
thinking about) finishing her Accounting degree . They then they had my brother in 2011 and had me in 2013 so things
where going great,. In 2017 we all moved here to Florida to be closer to family. My mom is working in accounting and my
dad is working at a place called MOSS.

My food • I brought in Pumpkin pie. In Dominica
people make many types of desserts.
This pumpkin pie was the closest I
could get to their sweet potato pie
that is so delicious.
