Types of Nouns
There are several types of nouns:
Common Nouns: Refer to general people, places, things, or ideas.
Example: boy, city, tree, happiness
Proper Nouns: Refer to specific people, places, things, or ideas. They
are always capitalized.
Example: John, New York, Eiffel Tower, Christianity
Concrete Nouns: Refer to things that can be touched or seen.
Example: book, table, car, flower
Abstract Nouns: Refer to things that cannot be touched or seen, such
as ideas, feelings, or qualities.
Example: love, sadness, courage, intelligence
Noun
Collective Nouns: Refer to a group of people, animals, or things.
Example: team, herd, flock, crowd
Countable Nouns: Can be counted.
Example: apple, book, car, house
Uncountable Nouns: Cannot be counted.
Example: water, sugar, air, happiness
