Converting units
Sometimes we can give a measurement in
two different ways.

For example, cm and m or m and km

This is called converting


Centimeters and Metres

These are metre sticks.

1m = 100 cm
Centimeters and Meters
Where is ½ way?
½ a metre is 50 cm
What is ½ of 50cm?

We call this ¼
