Question 1: Tell me about event that challenged
you, how you met the challenge, and if you could
do it all over again would you do it differently?

 In a couple of previous jobs, I had to tell a coworker

that I was having trouble understanding how to do
exceptional work at the company. I found it difficult to
admit this. I've always felt like I should be the most
knowledgeable. The more I resisted my annoyance and
fury at not being able to complete particular duties, the
more terrible the situation became. One day, I realized
that if I adjusted a few of my habits, my job would
improve, and so would my overall pleasure in the
position. From that day forward, I made it a point to ask
my coworkers for help whenever I needed it.
 Video Interview Preparation
 [WLO: 3] [CLOs: 1, 2, 3, 4, 5, 6]
 Prior to beginning work on this assignment, read
The STAR method: The Secret to Acing Your Next Job Interview (Links to an external s
ite.)
.
 Even if you are the most educated, experienced, and qualified job seeker, preparing
for a job interview is critical for making that first impression. In this assignment, you
will be issued interview questions that are commonly asked in the field of health care
administration. Access the MHA Interview Preparation Module below to receive five
interview questions. Be sure to either write down your interview questions or take a
screenshot.
 Next, prepare responses to your interview questions, and do a screencast video
presentation of yourself responding to your assigned questions. For your video
responses, you are required to have your web camera turned on.
 Use one of the following programs to record your screencast video presentation:
Question 2: If you and your colleagues have a
different opinion, how would you go about
resolving it?

 When opinions differ, it is paramount and easy to sit back and

assume that you are right. However, I believe that it is important to
reflect on whether you are becoming too rigid with your beliefs at the
workplace. Therefore, I would try to put myself in the other person’s
shoes and eventually understand why they have arrived at their
opinion. Thus, this would help me to understand instead of being
stubborn, leading to more robust teamwork with better perspectives
on the situation.
Question 3: What is your management style and
why is it the best for this job position?

 I consider my department's employees to be members of my team,

and I treat them as such. My democratic management style entails
close collaboration with team members to establish plans and jointly
make choices. Working on initiatives that we all agree on allows me
to ensure that my colleagues are aware that their ideas and thoughts
are heard. This keeps them motivated and inspired to deliver
outstanding results as they work to bring their creative concepts to
reality.
Question 4: What is your greatest
accomplishment that you are proud of?

 In my last position, our technology development team lost a

colleague due to relocation. He was the lead developer for the new
computer system in the organization. Unfortunately, no one else on
the team had worked with the system. Since I had experience with
different computer systems, I volunteered to take on the lead role in
developing and deploying the system. I worked with the other team
members to train new and existing staff and helped in the
communication between clinic and system support specialists in the
organization.
Question 5: How do you handle
rejection?
 It's easy to get caught up in negative feelings while coping with a
difficult emotion like rejection. However, concentrating on the bad
aspects can feel like reliving the experience. It continues to hurt, but
getting past the rejection gets more complicated.
 So I acknowledge my feelings, but I don't dwell on them. This is by
avoiding constantly talking or thinking about it. Basically, our
expectations and actions are influenced by negative thinking. Getting
caught in a negative mindset can lead to even more rejection.
Therefore, positivity is the key to fighting rejection.
