Drew Crawford

Drew Crawford is a UK-based Australian composer, producer, sound-designer, songwriter and educator with work spanning opera, theatre, dance, pop, cabaret, installation, sound design, radio, tv, film, the concert hall, and digital platforms. His diverse output has been performed across Europe, North America, Asia and Australasia, and he has been commissioned and programmed by and worked with a long list of Australian, UK and international organisations.

Drew's current practice-based research in contemporary composition seeks to generate new knowledge on how to approach making music that accounts for the space in which it is performed, drawing on scholarship from a range of fields, including acoustics, affective aesthetics, and aural architecture, as well as theatre-, choreography- and studio-based creative practices.
