As Secretary-General of the UNPO, my vision is rooted in a firm belief: the voices of Peoples and Nations are not just important, they are essential to building a more just, inclusive, and democratic world. This principle has always been at the core of the UNPO’s mission.

Founded to fill a critical gap in the international system, the UNPO challenges a global order that too often gives voice only to states, silencing the Peoples within them. Today, as the United Nations confronts growing calls for reform, the UNPO stands as both a critique and a constructive alternative. We embrace the lessons of multilateralism, but also offer a new model, one that is more inclusive, responsive, and just. In an era of rising authoritarianism, environmental crisis, and systemic inequality, the UNPO must be more than a platform. It must be a force for transformation.

Since 2023, we have embarked on a process of renewal and reform, strengthening our foundation, restoring trust, and redefining our strategic focus. We are reimagining what it means to represent the unrepresented and how their voices can help shape a better international future.

Our priorities are clear:

• To demand democratic participation in shaping economic, social, cultural, environmental, and political futures.
• To highlight the vital contributions of unrepresented Peoples to solving today’s global challenges.
• To foster international solidarity grounded in justice and shared responsibility.
• To protect the dignity and rights of marginalized communities.
• To elevate the knowledge, resilience, and vision of our members, whose lived experiences offer powerful solutions for global peace, climate justice, cultural preservation, and inclusive governance.

Through innovative programs like the UNPO Academy, and People’s Friends Network, we are equipping our movement to thrive in today’s complex world. This means challenging outdated paradigms and creating new paths for meaningful participation and global cooperation.
