  4. 'The important thing is to keep going and improving'published at 19:23 BST 9 October

Indian captain Harmanpreet Kaur: "We played really well. We collapsed when batting but we managed to score 250 on the board. At the end we did really well and the way that they batted looked different.

"Richa Ghosh has always been outstanding for us, she is someone who understands the game and today she did that and we are pleased to see that. She can pick those biggest hits."

On the rest of the tournament: It's a long tournament and it was a tough game for us. We have good games coming up and the important thing is that we keep going and improving."

  5. 'That was incredible'published at 19:21 BST 9 October

South Africa captain Laura Wolvaardt: "That was incredible. I don't think I've seen something like that in all of my career. That innings that Nadine played was very special. I'm lost for words. It was extremely good.

"We found ourselves in a bit of a pickle early. We've had a lot of conversations reflecting on that first game of the tournament and saying if we do find ourselves in that position, then just graft as long as we can.

"We knew we were ahead of them the whole time. They had a big finish but we thought if we can take it as deep as we can, maybe we can have something special."

On Nadine de Klerk: "So special. She's been hitting the ball like that in the nets so I'm glad it was able to come off in the game. The temperament she showed batting with the lower order and the timing of that chase."

On their performance with the ball: "Richa [Ghosh] batted well. We tried to go wide plan to her and it looked like she wanted us to do that. She's one of the best batters at the death in the world and it was really hard to control her. 210, 220 would have been nice but I'm glad we were able to match it with something special.

"Our pace bowlers bowled well. The pace came on nicely when I was batting and the spin was tougher. We've done well to restrict them to 250 with a lot of pace bowlers."

  6. 'I am lost for words'published at 19:14 BST 9 October

South Africa all-rounder and player of the match, Nadine de Klerk, speaking after the match: "I am lost for words. We have done a lot of good things over the last few days and it was good to finish the game off and try and dig deep. It has given us a lot of confidence going forward.

"I like being under pressure and I love World Cups as well. We knew we were going to have to be at our very best. They got to 250 which is a good score but we are glad to get over the line. We put up a good fight."

On her partnership with Chloe Tryon: "I think when me and Chloe got together, we knew we would have to take it deep. We are good in the back ten. We have a good partnership and Chloe took a lot of pressure off me."

Where to start with recapping this game?

Well, not for the first time this tournament, India were in all sorts of bother with the bat, collapsing from 83-1 to 102-6 against the left-arm spin of Nonkululeko Mlaba and Chloe Tryon.
