Harriet Murphy OBITUARY
Harriet Murphy, 90, of Durham, NH, formerly of Kingston, NY, passed away on Thursday September 11, 2025. She was born on July 11, 1935 in Rifton, NY, daughter of the late Matthew and Isabella (Boss) Rimmi. She was married to the late John A. “Jack” Murphy, Jack passed away on November 4, 2002. Harriet was a graduate of Kingston High School, Class of 1952 and later worked as a Legal Secretary at the law firm of Napoletano, Kelly, and Saccoman in Kingston from 1952 to 1960. She was a member of Trinity Evangelical Lutheran Church in Kingston. Harriet is survived by her children, Robert Jay Murphy (Debra Van Etten) of Center Tuftonboro, NH, and Kevin John Murphy (Keira Murphy) of Taylors, SC, and her grandchildren, Sheridan Tara Murphy and Sean Patrick Murphy. In addition to her husband and parents, she is predeceased by her sister, Vera Miller. Arrangements entrusted to Keyser Funeral & Cremation Service, 326 Albany Avenue, Kingston, NY 12401, where family and friends may visit on Friday September 19, 2025 from 10am to 12pm. The funeral service will begin at 12pm with burial following in Rosendale Plains Cemetery, Rosendale, NY. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to Trinity Evangelical Lutheran Church, 72 Spring Street, Kingston, NY 12401.
