Kaelyn Rausch OBITUARY
formerly of Ulster Park Kaelyn Alexandra Rausch, 24, of Ellenville, NY, formerly of Ulster Park, NY, passed away on Tuesday, October 7, 2025, at Westchester Medical Center, the result of injuries sustained in a tragic car crash. She was born in Kingston, NY on October 01, 2001, a daughter of Eric M. and Donna L. (Chipman) Rausch of Ulster Park.
Kaelyn started employment at Scanlon Cleaners at the age of 14, where she was employed for over 6 years. She then went on to work, alongside her sister, at Family of Woodstock in Kingston as an overnight Coordinator. She loved her co-workers as family. Her children were her world, she loved them immensely, always envisioning and wishing a bright future for them. She loved watching them grow and learn. She loved growing up and jet skiing and boating on the Hudson River and family vacations on the beach in Florida and Seaside. Kaelyn’s protective instincts started with the birth of her brother Alex, who is 20 months younger. For Kaelyn, It was love at first sight. From holding his hand in the grocery store, to picking him up when he stumbled. Kaelyn was uncompromising and fierce when it came to protecting those she loved dearly. Kaelyn always looked up to and admired her big sister Rachel, and she adored her niece, Aurora. There was never any sibling rivalry or competition. Kaelyn was so very proud of Rachel and Alex and loved them both deeply. In addition to her parents, Kaelyn is survived by her children, Westly and Bentley Heady of Ulster Park, Paternal Grandparents Robert B. and Kathleen Rausch of Kingston, Maternal Grandparents Judith (Kenneth) McCarthy of Kerhonkson, John (Sandy) Chipman of Accord, Sister Rachel Banks, Brother Alexander Rausch, both of Ulster Park, Niece Aurora Potter, of Ulster Park, Godfather and Uncle Robert T. Rausch of Kingston, Godmother and Aunt Jessica Bingell of Ellenville, and Great-Grandmother Elene Black of Kerhonkson. Aunts, Uncles and many cousins that were her best friends. She also leaves behind childhood friends that she loved as much as they loved her. She is preceded in death by cousin Alanna Vandunk, that she now joins in heaven. Friends will be received at the Gilpatric-VanVliet Funeral Home, 339 Broadway, Ulster Park, on Sunday, October 12, 2025, from 3:00 pm to 5:00 pm. Considering Kaelyn’s fondness for the colors red and burgundy, her family welcomes attendees to wear either color in honor of her fiery spirit. The procession will form 9:00 am, Monday, October 13, 2025, from the funeral home, thence to Immaculate Conception Church, 467 Delaware Ave., Kingston, where the Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 10:00 am. Burial will follow at Hurley Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, the family suggests contributions in memory of Kaelyn be sent to: Donna Rausch, PO Box 1819, Kingston, NY 12402. A trust is being established for her children’s education and future.
