It has become an essential tool for our firm with some of our larger cases in managing discovery. As a mid-sized firm, we are often handling cases with a large amount of documents, and we don't always have the staff to sift through thousands of pages of discovery. Everlaw does a wonderful job of streamlining advanced processes and making them very user friendly and easy to understand. Tasks like uploading/deduplicating documents, running outbound productions, and running complex searches are easy to configure. So far, I haven't run into a feature (or lack thereof) which I didn't like. If you run into features that you don't like or require modification, Everlaw is constantly building new features into the platform, and their product team is always willing to listen. I really appreciate Everlaw's service quality and support. Whenever I have a question about using the platform, they are consistently available and ready to guide me through the best approaches to utilize their product effectively. Furthermore, the capability to convert audio and video files into written transcripts instantly is incredibly beneficial, particularly in legal contexts where reviewing audio content is frequent. This feature not only saves me significant time by allowing me to review the content as text but also facilitates easy searching for specific terms or words within a file. Additionally, while I don't fully integrate it, I find the features that allow easy access to documents stored on Google Drive quite useful in streamlining my workflow. I don't think Everlaw is the most intuitive system. The user interface design could be improved, particularly because Everlaw's 'storybuilder' model isn't intuitive for those of us accustomed to different platforms that don’t use similar terminology. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

I find Everlaw very valuable for document review, offering the ability to process unlimited data, which is similar to Relativity. I appreciate its certification feature, as it is considered very good. I also use Everlaw for handling late costing issues, and it does not involve much cost, making it a better choice for future use. The platform allows reviewers to review documents efficiently, and the initial setup is quite easy. I find the configuration of search terms and highlights in Everlaw somewhat challenging. The current setup does not fully meet my needs, particularly when dealing with active learning tasks. Everlaw is fast, intuitive, and simple to use but deceptively feature-rich. It has built in media transcription and playback, language tools/machine translation, and great analytics visualizations. Its predictive coding features are extremely capable and do not require a team of data scientists to use correctly. I use Everlaw primarily for e-discovery and timeline creation and I find its discovery management capabilities exceedingly effective. It allows me to conduct easy searches of documents, keeps productions well organized, and facilitates seamless collaboration with team members in identifying key documents and preparing timelines. I love how customizable Everlaw is—it offers the flexibility to tailor the layout and coding to best fit the needs of each specific case. Slowness when the database becomes big, which is a common database problem. Some tech savvy users may have surprises using Everlaw, because they use other platforms and assume Everlaw functions the same way. Everlaw is easier to use compared to other review systems. Its processes are integrated into the platform, so there’s less preparation required when running productions. Navigating the searches and their setup on the main page can feel awkward, making it difficult to find a specific search. Personally, I find the tree folder method for searches to be much more efficient and user-friendly. This reviewer does not work for Everlaw and will not accept anything other than to express my personal opinion of the software. A company is defined by it's leadership that is reflected by the staff they hire to accomplish stated goals. The goals of Everlaw have had an historical affect in the legal industry that will be progressively recognized and this is what I like best about Everlaw. This company is where technology is benefitting users because the goal is to use technology to bring about the efficient use of stored knowledge of industry experts. Because Everlaw is groundbreaking in what it allows users to accomplish, it is important to carefully consider whether certain actions should be taken. This is not a flaw of Everlaw itself, but it is a caveat that should be kept in mind when working with such a powerful tool. Everlaw is one of the most deceptive pieces of advanced software I have had the pleasure to work with. This is meant to be a positive statement of fact in this regard; while being able to be quickly deployed, fairly easy to learn, very powerful, yet cost effective, the learning curve can be equally as steep as one wishes to delve.
