"Powerful and Scalable, But Be Ready for a Learning Curve"
What do you like best about IBM SevOne?

What I truly value about SevOne is its impressive power and scalability. In our complex environment, which includes a combination of on-premises, cloud, and SD-WAN, achieving a unified view of network performance is a significant challenge. SevOne excels at consolidating all this data into one place. The real-time monitoring capabilities are outstanding; we've been able to identify potential issues early and resolve them proactively, preventing any impact on our users. The dashboards are highly detailed and adaptable, making it possible to create custom views tailored to the needs of different teams. Once you become familiar with the system, the ability to drill down into specific network flows and analyze traffic patterns proves extremely valuable for both troubleshooting and capacity planning. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about IBM SevOne?

In my experience, the most challenging aspect of SevOne is the steep initial learning curve. The tool isn't particularly intuitive straight out of the box, and at times, the user interface feels somewhat cumbersome. Setting up the system and fine-tuning all the configurations demanded considerable effort and expertise. Although the platform offers robust capabilities, achieving more advanced configurations and customizations often involves a lot of manual work. Additionally, I believe SevOne could improve its integration with a broader range of vendors. For smaller organizations, the cost is another important factor that shouldn't be overlooked. "Real-Time Insights That Empower Network Teams"
What do you like best about IBM SevOne?

IBM SevOne stands out for its rich feature set and scalability, especially in complex network environments. The platform offers deep visibility with real-time analytics, which we use frequently to monitor performance across hybrid cloud and SD-WAN infrastructures. The customizable dashboards are a major plus — they make it easy to tailor views for different teams and use cases.

Ease of integration is another strong point; SevOne connects well with our existing systems and supports a wide range of data sources. While the initial implementation required some planning, the support team was responsive and knowledgeable, helping us get up and running smoothly.

Overall, the frequency of use is high in our operations, and the tool has become central to our network observability strategy. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about IBM SevOne?

While IBM SevOne is feature-rich and powerful, there are a few areas that could be improved. The ease of use is a challenge — the interface feels dated and isn’t very intuitive, especially for new users. It takes time to learn how to navigate and configure dashboards effectively.

Ease of implementation can also be a hurdle. The initial setup is complex and often requires specialized knowledge or support, which can slow down deployment. Although customer support is generally responsive, some advanced issues take time to resolve.

In terms of integration, while SevOne supports many data sources, connecting it with certain legacy systems or third-party tools can be tricky and may need custom workarounds.

Despite these challenges, once fully configured, the platform performs reliably and is used frequently across our teams. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"All purpose management product for your network performance & operations needs"
What do you like best about IBM SevOne?

The stability of the IBM SevOne NPM product is superior in comparison to similar products I have had experience with. The UI is very flexible, clean and has a vast amount of customisable options. The reports that are available out of the box were actually very good and consumed a vast amount of readily available data and sorted into easy to view alert summary and multiple tabs. The built in AI features were extremely valuable in sorting our regular network performance against support tickets. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about IBM SevOne?

Even though the customisation features are very good I did find it hard / not possible to create certain suites, limited by the formats of visualisation I could you. There is room to add more vendors to the integration capabilities. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"Comprehensive Network Monitoring with Powerful Features, but Steep Learning Curve and High Cost"
What do you like best about IBM SevOne?

What I value most about IBM SevOne is its ability to deliver a unified, comprehensive view of our entire network. The real-time monitoring features and customizable dashboards make it easy to visualize the health and performance of our systems. Compared to the fragmented tools we previously relied on, this has been a major improvement. The proactive alerting has truly made a difference, allowing us to identify and address potential issues before they develop into serious problems, which has noticeably reduced downtime. Additionally, its scalability reassures me that it will continue to meet our needs as we grow. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about IBM SevOne?

Setting up the system was more difficult than I expected, and it takes some time to fully understand and utilize all the features. The user interface does not feel very intuitive initially and can seem somewhat complicated. Although the platform offers strong capabilities, the price is relatively high, which could be a hurdle for smaller organizations. Additionally, even though it integrates with a wide range of systems, I have encountered some difficulties when working with non-Cisco devices. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about IBM SevOne?

One drawback of IBM SevOne is that its interface can feel a bit complex and overwhelming for new users, requiring a learning curve to fully leverage its features. Initial setup and configuration can also be time-consuming, especially in large environments. Additionally, while powerful, the platform may feel heavy for smaller organizations that don’t need such extensive monitoring capabilities. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"Enterprise-grade network observability that scales"
What do you like best about IBM SevOne?

IBM SevOne gives us unified, real-time visibility across hybrid networks — cloud, SD-WAN, Wi-Fi, and on-prem — in a single pane of glass. The customizable dashboards make it easy for different teams (NetOps, application owners, executives) to see the metrics that matter. Its AIOps driven insights reduce alert noise and surface early warnings so we can address issues proactively. Historical trend analysis and reporting are excellent for capacity planning and investment decisions. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about IBM SevOne?

The initial setup and customization take effort, and the learning curve for new admins can be steep. Some advanced visualization options and vendor integrations require extra tuning. Cost is on the higher side compared to lighter SaaS tools, though the ROI on outage avoidance is strong. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
