Meet Swaroop, a Dublin-based site reliability engineering (SRE) intern. Swaroop is currently pursuing his master’s in computer science, though he’s long been interested in working at Google. This summer, he’s helping build the machine learning models that power Google Ads. “As an SRE, my job is to ensure Google's massive systems are always running smoothly, reliably and efficiently,” he explains. For Swaroop, being staffed on a project that has such a wide-reaching impact is one of the best parts of interning at Google. “I've always wanted to work on the frontier of new technologies, building for billions of users across a vast range of products and domains.” Explore our open roles and opportunities for current students like Swaroop → https://goo.gle/4fLm38J

Why are games a great way to evaluate AI? 🤔 Games like chess and Go are powerful, evergreen benchmarks for AI. As models get stronger, the games get more difficult, making them perfect for continuously challenging and improving the capabilities of AI systems. But it's not just about winning the game—it's what games represent. They're a fantastic proxy for real-world skills and test a model's abilities in: Strategic planning and reasoning Memory and adaptation "Theory of mind"—understanding an opponent's intent This is why we're building Kaggle Game Arena, an open and transparent platform for evaluating advanced AI systems. Our environments are open-sourced, and we're excited to expand with more games to test increasingly complex capabilities with the community. You can check out our environments and harnesses on GitHub: https://lnkd.in/gS-_zWhC The results from Game Arena will feed into Kaggle Benchmarks, creating dynamic leaderboards that track the performance of new models over time. Gemini 2.5 Deep Think is an enhanced reasoning mode for Gemini that extends its "thinking time" to help tackle harder problems. We put it into the hands of mathematicians who explored what it can do. 🧠 💭 Deep Think first generates parallel streams of thought, before comparing, contrasting, and refining these ideas to arrive at better answers. 💡 Its strengths goes beyond the realms of math and science, performing well at work that needs creativity and strategic planning - including tackling tough coding problems as well as iterative web design. Deep Think is now rolling out to Google AI Ultra subscribers. Find out more → https://lnkd.in/euyuUPSR

Try Deep Think in the Gemini app today if you’re a Google AI Ultra subscriber. 🧑🔬 Deep Think is helpful for experts, researchers and academics with complex problems that require creative problem solving, and making improvements step-by-step 🧠+⌛ Just like people tackle complex problems by taking more time to explore different angles, weigh potential solutions and refine a final answer, Gemini 2.5 Deep Think uses parallel thinking techniques to extend “thinking time”, generating parallel streams of thought to test multiple hypotheses. Select ‘Deep Think’ in the prompt bar when using 2.5 Pro. Learn more → https://goo.gle/3U8BZsg
