Frequently Asked Questions

Where are classes held?

Our classes and events take place at the Palm Beach Aquatic and Community Centre on the Gold Coast.

The venue is designed for convenience and comfort, featuring:

  • Underground parking with lift access

  • A parents’ room

  • An on-site café

It’s a welcoming space where you and your baby can relax and enjoy the class

How long does a Lullo class run for?

Classes typically run for 45–60 minutes, though some events may run longer. Be sure to check the event schedule for exact timings.

Do I need to bring anything?

We provide everything you need for a comfortable class, including:

  • Soft yoga mats

  • Clean muslin blankets

  • Cushions and chairs

  • Hydro bump refreshments for mamas

You are welcome to bring a massage oil that you are confident using on your baby’s skin. Alternatively, Lullo Massage Oil is available for purchase and included in the price for events.

About Lullo Oil:

  • 100% organic, cold-pressed apricot kernel oil

  • Gentle on baby’s skin (patch test recommended)

Just bring yourself, your baby, and a sense of calm—we’ll take care of the rest!

Can expecting mothers attend a Lullo class?

Yes! Expecting mothers are very welcome. Learning baby massage techniques before birth can:

  • Help you physically and emotionally prepare for connecting with your baby

  • Give you knowledge of the health benefits that massage provides

  • Build confidence in soothing and comforting a newborn through touch

  • Help reduce anxiety and increase maternal confidence

During class, spare massage dolls are provided so you can practice techniques safely before your baby arrives.

How old should baby be to to attend a Lullo class?

Babies aged 6 weeks up to pre-crawling will benefit most from attending our classes. This is the ideal window to learn massage techniques and support your baby’s nervous system development.

I’m worried my baby will be restless?

That’s completely normal! Our classes are baby-led, meaning we follow your baby’s cues at all times. Babies are rarely expected—or even interested—in being massaged for the full class duration.

You are encouraged and celebrated to tend to your baby’s needs whenever they arise. There are chairs if you’d like to sit off the floor, and spare dolls are available to practice techniques if your baby is sleeping.

To help you continue at home, I provide a handout summarizing the techniques discussed in class.

Can I bring my partner/family members with me to a Lullo class?

Yes! The class fee includes 2 adults and your baby.

If you’d like to bring an additional support person, please note that class sizes are limited to ensure a comfortable, baby-led environment.
