Caveboy, as he referred to in the episode, is a caveman appearing in The Super Mario Bros. Super Show! episode "Quest for Pizza". Caveboy speaks in an unknown language that mixes stereotypical caveman gibberish with names of food, which Toad is apparently able to understand; a running gag in the episode has the Princess mishearing what Caveboy says, only for Toad to correct her.
Caveboy first appears when Luigi, alongside his friends, find themselves trapped in front of waterfall while carrying a poisoned Mario. As the group is trapped in front of the waterfall by Alley Koop and his minions, Caveboy arrives on a vine and tells them to get behind the waterfall to escape. Behind the waterfall, Caveboy guides the group to Mugga, who the Princess hopes can cure Mario.
Later, as the group travels throughout Caveman Land to get ingredients to make a pizza to cure Mario, Caveboy can be seen cheering Luigi on as he tries to get milk from a Cowazaurus. Later, as the Cowazaurus chases Luigi, Caveboy, alongside the Princess and Toad, swing on vines to save him. Caveboy later appears in a tomato patch alongside Luigi, the Princess, Toad, picking tomatoes to make tomato sauce for Mario's pizza.
Caveboy later appears inside the cave, where he appears carrying the pizza Luigi and his friends were cooking to cure Mario, revealing that it survived the flood caused by Alley Koop and his minions. Luigi, however, declares that a pizza is not a pizza if it is not cooked, prompting Mugga to draw a Fire Flower, which can be used to cook Mario's pizza. Mugga explains that Alley Koop has a Fire Flower, but keeps it under heavy guard. Luigi realizes that they can save Mario if they retrieve this Fire Flower, and the group heads off in search of the Fire Flower.
Later, as Luigi laments that the time is almost up to cook Mario's pizza after retrieving the Fire Flower, Caveboy informs the group of a shortcut back to the cave. He is last seen at the end of episode, where he can be seen as Luigi and his friends cook Mario's pizza.
