Crest
Crests are collectible items in Donkey Kong Jungle Beat. At the end of each kingdom, Donkey Kong will carry a barrel of bananas to the Sacred Tree, representing the beats earned throughout the kingdom. The number of beats will determine the number of crests earned.
Criteria[edit]
Donkey Kong Jungle Beat[edit]
In the original version of the game, there are four differently colored crests per kingdom. To encounter the final boss, 51 crests must be collected, meaning an average of a gold crest must be collected in each kingdom.
During boss battles, the color of Donkey Kong's health bar will match the most valuable crest received with that beat total.
| Beats earned | Crests awarded |
|---|---|
| Any number | Bronze crest |
| 400 or more | Bronze and silver crests |
| 800 or more | Bronze, silver, and gold crests |
| 1200 or more | Bronze, silver, gold, and platinum crests |
New Play Control! Donkey Kong Jungle Beat[edit]
In the New Play Control! version of the game, there are three crests of a uniform silver color per kingdom.
| Beats earned | Crests awarded |
|---|---|
| 200 or more | 1 crest |
| 500 or more | 2 crests |
