Child-Free & Chuffed: Back at the Table
Child-Free & Chuffed: Back at the Table
After a bit of a festive hiatus (December has a habit of stealing momentum…), we’re very pleased to be getting *Child-Free & Chuffed* back together again. For this meet-up, we’ve booked a table in a **semi-private room** at **The Mug House**, a lovely wine bar tucked under the arches of London Bridge itself, just by Borough Market. They serve great wine alongside beer and food, making it an ideal spot for a cosy January catch-up. As ever, the vibe will be relaxed, comfortable and inclusive - no pressure, no agenda, just good conversation and easy company with fellow child-free-by-choice folks. With space for **10 people** and a nook to ourselves, this one will be perfect for settling in and chatting properly. The table booking under the name Dave and is for 2 hours (18:00-20:00), giving us time to explore the market, riverside or local pubs afterwards. Whether you’ve been before or this will be your first time, it’d be great to see you and start the year together feeling connected and, as always, quietly chuffed about our choices.

Is that you? \*\*\* \*\*\* Pls fill in our contact form so that we can contact you directly if there are any important changes to this event in the future: [https://form.typeform.com/to/IGVdeYWs](https://form.typeform.com/to/IGVdeYWs) \*\*\* Hey there! Come join us for a super fun afternoon playing "Cashflow for Kids," made by Robert Kiyosaki! It's a cool game where you learn about money, business, and investing, and you get to play with other kids and parents who are interested in the same thing. This game is for everyone who wants to learn how to be smart with money, especially when it comes to starting businesses and making investments. We want to help kids learn how to make their money work for them, even when they're young. Just imagine if you never had to worry about finding a job because you knew how to create extra and passive income wisely! During the game, you'll have a blast learning some really cool stuff about running businesses and making money work for you. Plus, you'll pick up some amazing tips to help you make money without working all the time. It's like a secret recipe for financial freedom! If you're under 12, make sure to bring an adult along to help you with the game. Here are some important details: * **Event:** Cashflow for Kids * **Cost:** Just £5 if you pay online, or £10 if you pay at the game. That's per scorecard; parents do not need a scorecard unless their child wants to play independently. * **Organisers:** Joanna, Jonathan, Andrew, and Tony \*\*\* There is a golden period each child has: between 16 and 25, where your child is still living at home. During this period, he or she has a wonderful opportunity to create a real income greater than their monthly expense needs! This allows him or her to achieve the power of income safety! Once your child sees this for themselves, please encourage them to **join us at Taking Action events! [https://www.meetup.com/takingaction/events/](https://www.meetup.com/takingaction/events/) \*\*\*** **FAQs (Frequently Asked Questions):** * **Q:** Can I play if I'm younger than 6? * **A:** This game is best for kids 6 and older. Grown-ups can join in too for an easy introduction to money matters. * **Q:** What skills do I need to play? * **A:** You just need to be able to add and subtract tens and hundreds, and be able to focus for about 30 minutes or more. * **Q:** Why are the ticket prices cheaper if I pay online? * **A:** We like to reward people who plan ahead and pay online. It helps us get everything ready for the game day! * **Q:** Can I buy a ticket when I get there? * **A:** Yep, you can, but it'll cost a bit more than if you pay online. Door tickets are £10 for this event. * **Q:** I don't have PayPal. Can I still pay online? * **A:** Absolutely! You can use a debit or credit card through PayPal's payment option. * **Q:** Can I share something cool with everyone? * **A:** Sure! If what you want to share will help everyone learn more or have more fun, we'd love to hear about it! Just a heads up: We like to take pictures and videos during the event to capture all the fun. If you don't want your face in the pictures, just let us know, and we'll make sure to blur it out! \*\*\* Pls fill in our contact form so that we can contact you directly if there are any important changes to this event in the future: [https://form.typeform.com/to/IGVdeYWs](https://form.typeform.com/to/IGVdeYWs) \*\*\*

Come chat at Compton's with other gay dads (11-02-26)
Come chat at Compton's with other gay dads (11-02-26)
Come for a chat over a bevvie upstairs at Compton's. LGDM is mainly gay guys who have kids, chatting over a drink. We know the particular struggles of being gay and a father. We make it work, for us it is normal. LGDMs are relaxing, fun, positive, encouraging meets. First-timers specially looked out for and warmly welcomed. People come along as singles and couples, younger, older, out, not out, still married to a woman, divorced, trans and everything in between. 'Wannabe-Dads' and women are welcome too. Every racial group and faith/no faith background has come and been warmly included. Basically everyone from every imaginable background is welcome. The only condition is that you have an interest in gay dads being the best and happiest dads they can be. If you RSVP "Yes" one of the leaders will know to be on the lookout for you but you're fine to just turn up too, we understand and respect some people’s need for confidentiality. Plenty of blokes go for non-alcoholic drinks. No pressure, no judgements and no charge for this meetup. Guys who've already been to at least one meetup can ping Glyn ([https://www.meetup.com/london-gay-dads-meetup/members/246662999/profile/](https://www.meetup.com/london-gay-dads-meetup/members/246662999/profile/)) to be added to the "LGDM Chat" WhatsApp group which we use mainly for social chat between meets (only house-rule is "no smut, no politics, no religion").
9th Anniversary Foundation Drinks & Dinner (06.03.26)
9th Anniversary Foundation Drinks & Dinner (06.03.26)
**Join for the 9th Annual Dinner!** M&P serve sensibly-priced delicious authentic Italian meals. Usually nice service too. The group’s size means as usual it’ll be their Large Group Seasonal Set Menu; while that’s pretty comprehensive, obviously it won’t include everything a la carte at [https://www.meleepere.co.uk/menus](https://www.meleepere.co.uk/menus), but if interested you get the idea there. As always, LGDM meets are 'fam-friendly' and +1s are very welcome. This year instead of a deposit, we're asking that in addition to RSPV-ing here on Meetup, you make a note to 'consciously' reconfirm a week beforehand (or otherwise go back into Meetup and decline!) your RSVP, that'd be on Sat 28th Feb, IF YOU RSVP 'Yes' and then NO SHOW even after this 28th Feb 'reconfirm', WE WILL BE CHARGED for you & you will be found to be in the Bad Boy Books! (We will of course send a reminder by email and WA in good time.) This is how Mere e Pele describe themselves: *"We are three brothers ... on a journey to create a genuine neighbourhood Trattoria reminiscent of the fabulous family-run places of northern Italy where we all grew up... We cook our seasonal menu with British produce and exceptional Italian ingredients. All of our pasta, pizza, desserts and ice-creams are made in our kitchen fresh every day and we prove our pizza dough for over 48 hours. Gluten free pasta is also available and we have plenty of vegan options too."*
Kew Gardens Spring Meet-Up
Kew Gardens Spring Meet-Up
Based on the popular request of our surveys - a trip to Kew Gardens to check out their new adventure playground. Join us for an adventure in Kew Gardens’ stunning natural playground, designed for children aged up to 12 to explore the wonders of nature through play. Climb through giant wooden structures, splash in water features, hide in tunnels, and discover plants, sand, and sensory trails spread across an area the size of 40 tennis courts. It’s part garden, part adventure world — the perfect mix of fresh air, freedom, and fascination for curious minds. Be sure to pack your children's wellies and rain suits as there are lots of water features in this garden to play with. In mid-February the crocuses should also be out in the Kew Winter Garden for a beautiful carpet of purple. Kew is a very large place with 4 different entrances. It can be reached by rail, overground, underground, bus, and bike. Parking on site is limited but parking can be found in local side roads. The children's Garden is closet to the Brentford Gate on the river, but is also an easy walk from the Elizabeth Gate. Due to how large the site is I would recommend planning your journey individually. There is good wheelchair accessibility throughout the gardens. Entry to Kew Gardens is cheapest when booked in advance online. Standard online rates are £24.50 for adults and £6 for children aged 4 - 16. Discounts are available for those who live in neighbouring boroughs (which I know a few of you do - please check the website). Those in receipt of certain benefits (PIP, DLA, housing benefit, ESA, JSA, CTC, WTC, income support, and ARC) can enter for £1. As always, if finances are a barrier to you attending then please DM me as we have a fund to ensure that everyone can attend. We will meet in the Children's Garden at 13:30 so aim to get to Kew for 13:00 so you have enough time to walk there. As the Children's Garden is so large I will send my phone number out to those who have RSVPed yes a few days before the meet up. Please call me when you arrive and we can then find each other.
