Certificates in Italian for private use in Italy or in English for use abroad

Each certificate requires the payment of a 16 euros stamp duty. The payment can be made through the platform PagoPA: 

• Please visit https://unipd.pagoatenei.cineca.it/portalepagamenti.server.frontend/#/ , choose "voluntary payment" and enter the required information.
• As regards the "payment reason", please choose "DIDA02 - Stamp duty certificates" and as for the "reason" enter "NAME and SURNAME marca da bollo per certificato di dottorato"
• Click on "payment" and proceed.

The receipt must be sent to [email protected] along with a copy of a valid identity document, specifying the destination and the language of the certificate. 

A number of certificates for use in Italy is exempt from the stamp duty (D.P.R. 26/10/1972 n. 642 All. B as amended). 

Certificates are generally issued with a digital signature. In case an original signature and ink stamps are needed, please specify it in your request.

  Certificates to obtain a residence permit

When sending requests for certificates to be submitted to the Questura in order to obtain a residence permit, you need to specify whether a renewal or the first issue of the residence permit is to be requested, as well as the date of the appointment. Requests must be sent to [email protected]. 

When requesting a renewal, please send also a copy of your current residence permit. No payment is required. Please ensure your residence permit is a student’s permit. 

As for the first issue of the residence permit, the payment of a "marca da bollo" of 16 euros is due:

• Go to: https://unipd.pagoatenei.cineca.it/portalepagamenti.server.frontend/#/pagamentospontaneo
• Fill in the form with your personal data
• In the field "Payment reason" select "DIDA02 - Stamp duty - Certificates"
• Complete the field "Reason" by writing "SURNAME/NAME - pagamento marca da bollo per certificato dottorato"
• Add the amount (16 euros) and click on "payment".
