Wikis are wonderful and terrible things. Easy to add and update content, but not as easy to organize. Contributions in both areas are welcome.

About Red |
|
Follow along with our short getting started guide. If you prefer, you can go directly to our downloads page. Once you have Red up and running, the Beginner's FAQ gives you some initial sign-posts. |
Our official documentation for Red and Red/System. You can also read our readme, or check out some code at our official github repository. |
Red has a fast growing, diverse, and friendly global community. Have a look at our communication values, and then join the fun on Gitter chat or our mailing list. |
We have our own search engine indexing Red and Rebol data, as well as Red/Sensei - a dedicated LLM-powered digital assistant* armed with the latest Red knowledge who speaks most human languages! | Red’s ambitious goal is to build the world’s first full-stack language, from the system level (like C), through high-level scripting, and on to metaprogramming. All in a self-contained toolchain. |
* Be aware please that the LLM is currently not specifically trained with Red knowledge, so it has a higher hallucination rate with Red than with commonly known programming languages. Given that, it is still a highly valuable tool when its limitations are acknowledged.
Note: only the Red team is allowed to make changes to this page, all direct changes by third-parties will be rolled-back.
Both Red and Red/System are published under the BSD license. The runtime is published under the BSL license.
