Morinaga Mayumi is a singer-songwriter from Saga Prefecture, Japan.

After growing up in the calm lands of Saga inbetween rice fields and nature, around 1994 Morinaga began to be fascinated by music from musicians such as The Carpenters. She started to make her future goals to be a famous singer standing on big stages - because everybody wants to hear music.

In 2006 she applied for the television program Uta Star!!, and won. One year later she had her debut with One Million Miles, a song that became quite a hit in clubs around the world.

Besides being a solo artist, she lends her vocals to bands such as Another Infinity and HHHxMMxST.
