Yoshida Ken'ichi was born November 23, 1969 in Kumamoto, Japan. He is a Japanese animator and illustrator and member of the Japan Animation Creators Association; JAniCA.
After graduating from Tokyo Designer Gakuin he joined Ghibli. He started as in-between animator on Omoide Poroporo before becoming key animator on all of Ghibli's latter works. Later he quit Ghibli and participated in Turn A Gundam as a freelancer.
For his work on Eureka Seven as main animator and character designer he received an individual award at the 10th Animation Kobe Awards in September 2005.
At the 5th Tokyo Anime Fair Awards he received yet again an award for the best character design for his work on Eureka Seven.
Not to be confused with the photographer Yoshida Ken'ichi.
