Studio Gokumi has good track record with cute girls doing stuff, so why is nobody talking about this and why is rating so low. My radar detects issues but I went in anyway.
When you multiply the slow slice-of-life pace of Koisuru Asteroid with the slow comedy pace of Lucky Star, that's why. Coincidentally, this takes place in Kawagoe / Saitama, and 美水 かがみ illustrated the LN.
It's a story about people trying to do manzai. Not the manzai itself, but a story about the people doing it. So it's closer to drama, not comedy.
It got better later, or maybe I got used to it. But compared against Kinmoza and Vampire, this is soooo different. Cute girls doing not-cute stuff?
But at least it is still different content from all the shonen/isekai/mobilegame so that's a plus. But that might not be really enough to get people to want to watch it.
