True. Especially "Magnetic Rose" has a mindfuck scene during the end
when the robot-diva plays as wife of one of the astronauts (talk about deception in deception)

I think Utena should be added to the list, it's more mindscrewing than half of the anime there.

I agree with u..that anime mindscrew me...I even stopped watching because I had hopes for it being a yuri then well, it just made me feel sick how sh*t went down between the characters.

Absolutly agree about adding Utena! It's an absolute master that remains unreviled after 15 years! This visionnary abstract dark shoujo full of visual brillancy, one of the most pognant, twisted and over the top story I've even seen. Not to mention the majestic soundtrack of JA Seazer! Kunihiko Ikuhara and Bepas really done something meznmerizing with this anime, to bring so much life, depth and despair into anime character that still bringming upside down after many watch over the last decade and more, that something most anime could not do. A unique anime like this is so rare, the last one in my book been Mawaru Penguindrum, the new masterpiece of Ikkuhara! Long live Dementia, mindfuck and psychological anime! We need more of these to conerbalance the empty and souless ones who overuse the moe! (Nothing against moe as masterful serie like Higurashi, Ef and such containt a lot of it, but when it's take most of the place like in K-On, it's a real problem..)

Try Panty and Stockings.

Dunno for you, but I am waiting for a Duke Nukem-style anime or Expendables: balls-hard action show. Or something like barefoor Gen or LoGH. Or at least something with NO school settings, moe, fanservice and harems. Or something close to "The Ring" and Army of Darkness.

Panty and Stockings? That abomination! It got absolutly nothing to do with real anime! It's as ugly as a cartoon and it's desacrate the name Gainax in the lowest since Hideaki Anno quit the ship in 1998... How could the creator of Wings of Honeymise, Gunbuster 1988 and Karekano could do this....

barefoor Gen: Absolute masterpiece. Most pognant movie about WWII with grave of the firefly.

LOGH: It's on my list to watch. Long serie but see to worth the watch!

Simple: he made it awesome!
Also, has nothing to do with "real anime"? Dude, anime is animation. There is no definition of "true" anime.

Look, I have yet to watch it, but what you're saying here is too one-sided.
Are you implying that everyone who is praising this show, including people with elitist tastes like roriconfan, found an abomination more than decent, thus are retarded? You must be the only smart person in the world.

Plus it's one of the very few modern anime that at least doesn't make me cringe and piss me off.

I watched EVERY movie, TV series and OVA based on Marvel comics. Played almost every Marvel game from PS1 till now and have some Marvel figures and Classic Figurine Collection's figurines and 2 1/2 bookshelves filled with Marvel TPBs and HCs and I still rated it with 7. xP
