Well here i am to comment the Best/Worst in Anime history in MY point of View.
Animation: Well for an anime of his time i must say it's pretty well made although they could make it a little bit better.
Still got no complaints about it so that's my choice for an 8. If they tried a little harder they might have gotten a better note. The Animation is Simple yet very well drawn and the likes. Good for someone who is into that kind of animation.
Sound: Well i would have given it a better note if the songs were longer lasting.
In general the sound fit pretty much the anime and scenes. I don't have many info on the songs and such but i know enough to sustain my rating. In general the songs are good for this anime but i doubt if they would fit any other one
Story: Honestly and most sincerely speaking......The producers should be PERMANENTLY interned for they Dark thoughts.
Honestly they gave an innocent idea in the beginning of the anime with the cute girs, the shy kind of guy and a friend who would be willing to help him and the tragedy part seemed to (this is only what im used to) be Sekai crying because she couldnt get win him over or such. But instead it completely changed the course over the 5/6 Episode. Now THIS is something i didn't expect in my existence as a regular otaku. I LOVED the story don't get me wrong. But really....wtf? That's MY explanation for a 2.
I loved it but Hated it. In general it's an anime based on the minds and attitudes of today's youth towards their feeelings but taken to the extreme (watch the end and you'll know why) of it can possibly reach. Remmeber how you treat your friends.
Character: If the producers wanted to make the most (and quote) Disgusting, F"#$ed up, Selfish, Hatefull, and a Real "playa" well....they certainly went WAAAY better than they needed.
Makoto is WITHOUT A DOUBT the most hated character in the entire world. Im so certain that if he was real he wouldn't live a day without being stabbed, raped, battered and bruised to death.
I SOOOOO HATED THE GUY i just felt like crushing my monitor at that time or kick the living s"#t out of someone to releass some steam.
Also how blunt can a girl be? C'mon is she that desperate for attention? She could have done something to preventing the situation from escalating any further. But instead she believed in a cheater and a Playa.
Honestly in my opinion she and Katsura only deserve Pity and a good teaching in relationship and karate to kick Makoto's ASS to the next HELL.
In General the characters are very well design on how they should react to the events around them accordingly to their personality.
Value: Although the series was what it was it has A LOT of value cause this situation no matter how Wicked it is.....CAN happen in real life. And for e it gave a pretty good reason NOT to play with other people's feelings.
This is a Extremely valuable anime since there are not many animes that run form the regular harem anime.
Enjoyment: I ONLY AND ONLY enjoyed the series because of the last episode. All the pain and angst i felt simply faded away at that moment. Oh i felt such a warm feeling in my COLD heart HAHAHA
Overall: I have a love/hate relation towards School Days.
I ONLY AND ONLY recommend it to fans who look for something somewhat different of what they are used to watch. This is definitly for the faint of heart. Im ratting this with what i feel. I feel this was horrible but also it was the best. If youre looking for something somewhat different this is definitly the right choice for you.
