Student Fall-Winter Parking Permits

We have heard the concerns shared about availability for student parking on campus for the 2025–2026 academic year. Our team is actively reviewing parking capacity to make sure we’re making the most of the space we have.

With that in mind, we will be opening the student parking pass waitlist through the permit section of ParkAdmin on Thursday, October 2 at 10:00 a.m. Passes will be offered on a first-come, first-served basis, depending on availability.

Other Parking Options

Visitor Parking

Limited all-day parking will be available in P7 for $12.00 daily or in other visitor parking lots at various rates (Monday to Friday) on a first-come, first-served basis. Payment can be made, via the Hotspot app, by scanning QR codes posted in the lot or at pay stations where available.

Evening Permit for P7

Evening permits (after 5:00 p.m.) are available for P7 to begin at 3:30 p.m., and you can apply for this permit through the online application processing centre for Carleton parking service (ParkAdmin).

Vincent Massey Parking Lot – Day Parking

Additional off-campus visitor paid parking is available in Vincent Massey Park in Confederation Heights Lot #64, a five-minute walk from campus, for $7.50 daily. Individuals who use this lot can use the pedestrian footbridge across the Rideau River near Richcraft Hall to access campus. Please pay for parking as indicated on the posted signage.

Other Commuting Options

Parking Services encourages all students to use OC Transpo public transit options, including Park and Ride, to commute to campus. Students can also browse our website to review all available commuting options.

Permit Sharing

If two or more employees/students wish to share the cost of one permit, all participant vehicles may be listed on one parking profile. Carpoolers may split the cost of the permit through one payment. Only one listed vehicle may be parked on campus at any given time. Any supplemental vehicle would be required to pay visitor parking rates if parking for more than one listed vehicle was required simultaneously.

We do not require any physical parking permits or visitor parking payment receipts to be displayed. We verify your parking permit/payment by the license plate you have registered on your parking account or have entered into the paystation/HotSpot mobile validation.

Please note that parking fees at 355 Cooper Street (for the Carleton Dominion-Chalmers Centre) are in effect.
