A Human Generated Introduction to Generative AI, Part 1: Synthetic Data Generation
Recent Library Articles
Recently in the SAS Community Library: In the first of two posts on applications of generative AI, SAS' @JThompson reveals the role of generating synthetic data.
When you interact with SAS Viya’s REST services regularly, the difference between ad‑hoc one‑off requests and a proper HTTP client is night and day. Python’s httpx.Client gives you connection pooling , strict timeouts , optional HTTP/2 , and a clean way to share configuration across calls—all of which translate into faster, safer, and more maintainable integrations with the Viya Folders API.

Running loops which take hours to finish. The window/panel is freezed, which is not big deal.
But like to check out some datasets in between to fathom any possible scenario.
How to do? Just sleep(3*60*1000) alike is fine?!

Hello,
I have a set containing 2 types of injuries (coded 0 & 1), and a date/time field. I'm interested in creating a heat map showing the frequency of occurrence of each injury type by time of day in a week, and another map showing frequency of occurrence by month of year.
Is that doable? If so, what would be the code?
This is a sample of my set:
data sample (compress=binary);
INPUT record_id Injury1 Injury2 year InjuryDateTime:DATETIME20.;
format InjuryDateTime datetime20.;

Not sure if this is the right group. but here goes: I have created a JDBC library using the SAS Management Console. When trying to registering tables it return no tables and the error message is "No Tables were retrieved from your query". Trying to connect to Azure SQL Server database. Below is the details of the registering table. There is an exclamation next to the DRIVERCLASS. If I log into the database using a different tool the default schema is dbo which has no tables. The library is assigned but it fetches no tables to register. Any help would be appreciated. NOTE: The autoexec file, /usr/sas/config8/Lev2/SASApp/WorkspaceServer/autoexec.sas, was executed at server initialization. 1 LIBNAME pathncpp SASIOJDB URL="serv-ccc-path-pp-synws.sql.azuresynapse.net:1433; 2 Authentication=ActiveDirectoryServicePrincipal; 3 databaseName=Mydatabase; 4 schema=Myschema; 5 user=userxxx; 6 password=xxxT; 7 " 8 CLASSPATH="/usr/sas/sashome8/AccessClients/9.4/DataDrivers/jdbc/synapse" 8 !
