I like to draw from an intuitive place, tracing a dance that comes up from the paper, being the led partner instead of the leader. Gaze into clouds, or a textured ceiling--what do you see there? Shapes that surface will be uniquely yours. Mine seem to bubble up from nature, old fraktur art I saw as a child in Pennsylvania, Great Danes (pets I grew up with), and rounded shapes expressing hearts and other organs we're still growing into.
