A Distributed Key Generation protocol involves multiple parties contributing to the generation of a private and public key-pair. By involving multiple parties in the generation process, it effectively eliminates any chance for a potentially malicious actor to gain access to the newly-generated private key. This allows us to construct protocols without a trusted third-party.

// Threshold Signing

Also known as MPC signing, threshold signing is when multiple parties contribute to the generation of a signature with a private key. In this protocol, each contributing signer will hold a share of the private key and together compute a signature if and only if the other participants agree on the data being signed.

Entropy programs are WebAssembly executables that determine how and when a signature such as crypto transactions, attestations, or any arbitrary data is generated by the network. Additionally, they enable customizable rules for agent behavior.
