I have a deep passion in software for bioinformatics and computer vision. I'm currently a Computer Science CO-OP III student at McMaster. Here's some things about me:
🦠 iGEM 🦠 ... I've first participated in the International Genetically Engineered Machine (iGEM) competition in 2021 as a dry-lab researcher and web developer for team: Saint_Joseph. Currently, I'm working as a dry-lab modeling researcher and software developer at team: McMasterU. Some tasks include:
- refining and improving the metabolic network model for two algae organisms which are Chlamydomonas reinhardtii and Chlorella sorokiniana (removing EGCS, Mass-balance, Genome Annotations)
- running the flux-balance and variability analysis to determine potential autotrophic pathway modifications using NumPy, COBRApy
- working on a full-stack software for small-scale laboratories to manage deadlines, projects, and inventory. Front-end: React + TypeScript + Next.js | Back-end: PostgreSQL (via Supabase)
🌱 I’m currently learning more about computer vision, deep neural networks, and natural language processing. Also participating in RoboMaster RMUL 2025 (check us out: MacFalcon)
🖥️ Languages 🖥️ ... Python | JavaScript | TypeScript | Swift | C/C++ | MATLAB | Java | Elm (Haskell but slower)
🌱 Future plans 🌱 ...
- Learn Go | Rust | Solidity
- Improve full-stack and ML portfolio (open to inquiries involving related project ideas)
