Based on my re-creation of the Acorn AKA16 MIDI podule, base schematic as per the Acorn A440 service manual.

SMT components have been used where applicable. The UART is dual footprinted to suit widest component availablility as this is the only discontinued part in the design and harder to source - the SMT footprint has been verified and tested in builds.

A WaveBlaster(tm) header is added to allow WaveBlaster(tm) modules such as the Yamaha DB50XG to be mounted on the podule in the same way this was achieved by the ESP DMI50 podule. Audio output from the WaveBlaster(tm) synth is via a 3.5mm line-level jack. The WaveBlaster(tm) may be fed from the MIDI OUT or IN via the option link.

This has been built and tested with a Yamaha DB50XG daughter card.
