Blobscan is an explorer and API focused on EIP-4844 shard blob transactions. It addresses the core challenge of accessing, analyzing, and preserving blob data by indexing, decoding, and permanently storing blobs across both centralized and decentralized storage networks.
We propose integrating Arbitrum blob decoding into Blobscan by developing a TS package and CLI capable of decoding and extracting batches from Arbitrum blobs. This package will power Blobscan's web app by displaying detailed batch metadata and L2 transaction data.
By providing full visibility into Arbitrum blobs, this tool will enable developers, researchers, and node operators to explore and analyze Arbitrum's L2 data more effectively. What innovation or value will your project bring to Arbitrum? What previously unaddressed problems is it solving? Is the project introducing genuinely new mechanisms
This project addresses a currently unserved need in the Arbitrum ecosystem: decoding and understanding blob-encoded batches. Current tools for batch decoding are either deprecated or sunset, leaving a gap for developers and researchers. Our project introduces:
Fully maintained blob decoding tooling integrated directly into a live explorer, facilitating intuitive navigation, inspection, and exploration of blob-encoded batches. Increased transparency and accessibility for Arbitrum L2 data, aiding research, analytics, and tooling development. What is the current stage of your project
In production since 2023. Currently supporting Ethereum Mainnet, Sepolia Testnet, Hoodi Testnet and Gnosis Chain.# demo
