Due to recent policy changes from Google, you might see a warning from Play Protect when trying to install WhatSave, saying something like:
“This app may access sensitive data.”
Let’s be clear:
👉 WhatSave does not collect any personal information or share anything outside your device.
The app uses notification access only to recover deleted WhatsApp messages — nothing more, nothing shady.
Unfortunately, Google now flags many apps that access notifications as “potentially risky,” even if they don’t do anything wrong. This affects plenty of useful apps, including WhatSave.
If you trust the app:
- You can skip the Play Protect warning and install the APK normally.
- You can also check the open source code in this repo to verify how it works.
Thanks for your trust and support.
