I want to ask a question about this image by putting an image through the Github Copilot plugin in VS Code, but I am having the problem I show in the image. If this feature is not fully developed yet, why is the add image feature active then? |

It looks like the image upload feature might be available in the UI, but GitHub Copilot Pro doesn’t fully support image processing or handling yet. I am experiencing the same issue. It worked about a month ago and then stopped with the same error as in your screenshot. I don't know why they included it if it doesn’t work. |

Make sure you are using a model that supports image input. For example, from the model selector dropdown, choose GPT-4o. In the screenshot above, Claude 3.7 Sonnet is the model. This model doesn't support image input. |

I confirm this worked for me. I found that this is specified on the official documentation that this must be activated to support images as context: https://docs.github.com/en/copilot/how-tos/use-chat/use-chat-in-ide#using-images-in-copilot-chat

The only way to attach an image is by using "Add Context", that's the only workaround that's working for me. |
