Remaining items before v1.11 release #486
Description
- Update README with uv install and no more conda recommendation.
- Deprecate conda-forge build
- Done in Adopt src package layout, remove extension_helpers, consolidate tests #488
- Refactor package layout. Move gala -> src and move tests to top-level tests directory.
- Deprecate TimeInterpolatedSCF now that TimeInterpolatedPotential can wrap it (add tests
of that functionality) - Stream mass-loss tutorial using TimeInterpolatedPotential for the progenitor.
- Need to fix the way mass is read from the potential in MockStreamGenerator.
- Add a consistency test: rotating bar vs. rotating frame
- Review existing GalaFutureWarning and GalaDeprecationWarning
- Add a list of potential models that currently don't work with time interpolated machinery. EXPPotential, SphericalSplinePotential, ??
