“A mind that never stops learning never grows old.”
I’m Amalie, a software engineer, creative thinker, and lifelong learner who enjoys exploring the intersections of technology, science, and art.
The name Amalie is one I chose myself — derived from amal, meaning “work” in German, “hope” in Arabic, and “water” in Scots-Gaelic.”
Like a software product under continuous development, I believe in iterative self-improvement: always learning, refining, and building new things.
I’m currently deepening my skills in:
💻 Software Engineering
📊 Data Science & Analytics
🧪 Chemical & Biomedical Engineering
🌐 Web Development & Automation
📈 Project Management
- Developed 15+ automation tools in Python to enhance medical imaging performance and system diagnostics.
- Authored test reports for interdisciplinary teams, resolving 45+ complex software/hardware issues.
- Verified design requirements for veterinary and orthopedic flat-panel X-ray systems in compliance with IEC 602304 standards.
- Translated user requirements into process automation solutions for pharmaceutical manufacturing systems.
- Implemented and validated five software updates, managed InfoLog product launches, and maintained testing infrastructure.
- Provided advanced customer support for report formatting, data upload, and system integration issues.
- Authored 30+ validation protocols and reports; commissioned 8+ automated systems (cartoning, filling, labeling, blending).
- Executed IQ/OQ and process validation for multiple systems and optimized production workflows for cost and efficiency.
- 📚 Literature – British classics, poetry, and the enduring elegance of written expression.
- 🌏 Travel & Culture – From the Smithsonian’s quiet halls to Oxford’s dreaming spires.
- 🗣️ Language Learning – Currently improving my French (bonjour, baguette, and beyond!).
- 🎭 Performing Arts – Theatre, musicals, and opera — because creativity fuels innovation.

Born and raised in Shenzhen, China, I pursued higher education in the United States (Atlanta & Baltimore), worked near the legendary Bell Labs in New Jersey, and now call Oxford, UK home — a place that harmonizes intellect, history, and inspiration.
A personal project to experience 30 theatre productions before turning 30 — spanning from Phantom of the Opera in Atlanta to Hadestown in London.
Each performance reminds me that great storytelling and great engineering both require imagination and precision.

I’m a well-rounded engineer who values both precision and poetry — a technologist with a humanistic curiosity.
My guiding principle: never stop exploring — whether that’s in code, art, or life itself.
“Dreaming spires, daring code — I build both.”
