App is usable.

You need to compile cdc-acm.ko (it's an in-tree module) for your kernel and use insmod to inject it in, unless your kernel has this feature compiled-in (unlikely).

Note that the relay daemon will linger around unless you switch out to the test device. Otherwise you can manually kill it.
