This release contains a binary called ffmpeg-v4.5.6.tar.bz2. This is not the actual version of ffmpeg. It is between v4 and v5, and is the snapshot that actually worked in the ffmpeg release source tree with Amazon Linux EC2 images out of the box. None of the archived source snapshots compile out of the box with the latest Amazon Images.
