Welcome to TodoPal! TodoPal is a desktop app for managing tasks optimized for use via a Command Line Interface (CLI) while still having the benefits of a Graphical User Interface (GUI). TodoPal will help you be more organised and track your progress on your tasks. Type in a command to get started!

1. Ensure you have Java 11 or above installed in your Computer.
2. Download the latest TodoPal.jar from here.
3. Copy the file to the folder you want to use as the home folder for your TodoPal.
4. Open a command terminal, cd into the folder you put the jar file in, and use the java -jar TodoPal.jar command to run the application.
5. Begin typing a command in the command box and press Enter to execute it!

Adds a todo to the to-do list.

Format: todo TASK_DESCRIPTION

Example: todo CS2103T tutorial

Here, the todo task 'CS2103T tutorial' is added to the to-do list.

Finds a task in the to-do list, given a specific keyword.

TodoPal data are saved in the hard disk automatically after any command that changes the data. There is no need to save manually.

TodoPal data are saved automatically as a JSON file [JAR file location]/data/todopal.txt. Advanced users are welcome to update data directly by editing that data file.
