"Deep" is a new dark theme for BibleTime that does not require OS system level dark-mode in order to enjoy reading without sunglasses ;) .

Deep has a fairly high contrast pallet appropriate for being easy on the eyes during late nights.

Deep.cmap contains a slightly lower contrast version for "light mode" by using a slightly brighter hue (twilight) background color.

The master branch already has a setting to force dark mode independent of how the OS is themed. It can also force a light mode. If the light mode for your deep theme is dark, that might be confusing.

hmm... that's a good point.
I wasn't aware of this setting. Where is it found?
It looks like Ubuntu 20.04 LTS repos install BibleTime v2.11.2 whereas masterbranch is v3.x
@gholmlund Is that setting new to 3.x or did I just miss it in 2.11.2?

...I can do a bit more work on the light variant. It was more of an afterthought as part of a .cmap file when I originally had only just made the .css file version for v2.11.2 and noticed the .cmap format being talked about in the codebase documentation.

The settings is under the Settings/Configure menu. In is new in the master branch (i.e. newer than 3.0.2).

This option isn't available in 3.0.3 on my end

The light/dark config option is only in the master since it was an enhancement. It would become available when a 3.1 version is released.
