v4 - New foundation following the 2016 reset

Felt is was time, so middle of 2016 I did a full reset back to nothing.

Unfortunately it took me 6 months to get back to a "done" state on the
reset, but here we are, ready to kick off 2017 right.

For this version, v4 as we're calling it, I opted to try out using the
thoughtbot dotfiles with, with mine as `.local` additions on those. In
the end I decided this was not for me due to some difficulty in
overriding, and not feeling like the extra machinery was worth it.

This configuration is marked by:

- zsh: A very minimal zsh setup with `zplug` to manage plugins, and the
  lovely "pure" prompt.
- vim: I've switched over to vim-plug which seems nice, I love all of
  junegunn's work, so happy to use it.
- Still using lots of custom git and otherwise commands in ~/bin
