Funcion job_control_set_progress needs to be called when setting parts.

Using `/` and `\` is not allowed in filenames.
Although this has been solved in the common connector utilities, every connector
is responsible for checking this.

The trailing spaces are only useful if the item has object_info set. If not, the
trailing spaces can be ommited safely.
