Combining three manual feeders in a single unit reduces cost and maximizes the number of component tapes that fit on the 181x181mm tape tray. The compactness of the triple feeder permits two additional component tapes for a total of 12 tapes in the tray. Also, by reducing the number of feeders from 10 (for individual feeders) to only 4, the triple feeders reduce the amount of "tray fiddling" involved with loading component tapes.
