This PR improves the reliability of the collection creation process by introducing two key changes:

  • Pre-creation Cleanup: It now clears existing collections before a new one is initialized to ensure a clean state.

  • Collision Prevention: It implements unique table naming logic to avoid naming conflicts and resource collisions during the creation process.

Summary of Changes

Hello @rahulpinto19, I'm Gemini Code Assist1! I'm currently reviewing this pull request and will post my feedback shortly. In the meantime, here's a summary to help you and other reviewers quickly get up to speed!

This pull request significantly enhances the reliability of integration tests across various database systems by implementing robust pre-creation cleanup mechanisms and unique resource naming strategies. These changes ensure a clean testing environment for each run, preventing interference from previous test failures and avoiding naming conflicts. Additionally, the PR includes an update to the developer documentation regarding link checking practices.

Highlights

  • Enhanced Test Setup Reliability: Implemented pre-creation cleanup logic across various integration tests, including Couchbase, Elasticsearch, MongoDB, SingleStore, and Trino. This ensures that existing collections, indexes, or tables are dropped before new ones are created, providing a clean and consistent state for each test run.
  • Collision Prevention with Unique Naming: Introduced UUID-based unique naming for tables in SingleStore and Trino integration tests. This strategy prevents naming collisions and resource conflicts, particularly beneficial in parallel test execution environments.
  • Improved Test Teardown Robustness: Refined the Couchbase test teardown process to utilize a dedicated context for dropping collections and to log errors more selectively, specifically ignoring 'not found' errors, which makes cleanup more robust.
  • Adjusted MindsDB Test Stability: Increased the server startup wait timeout for MindsDB integration tests from 10 seconds to 2 minutes, addressing potential flakiness caused by longer initialization times.
  • Developer Documentation Update: Added a comprehensive section to DEVELOPER.md detailing the use of Lychee for link checking. This includes instructions for local execution, fixing broken links, and how to ignore specific URLs using .lycheeignore.
