While there is just a recent milestone release, I would prefer an early adoption. I started to use rules in JUnit 4 to test exceptions, but these will be dropped in Java 5 (which has an expectThrows method instead). Other than that there shouldn't be problems, e.g. AssertJ compatibility will be continued.
