Bugfixes

• fixltx2e LaTeX extensions are only loaded for pre-2015 kernel versions to prevent a warning message in modern distributions.

• TikZ library babel is loaded by default to prevent a clash between the babel package and PGF/TikZ 3.0.0.

Backward compatibility

• The < and > symbols are no longer supported in text mode to designate lower than and greater than. They should be replaced by the macros \textlessand \textgreater, respectively.
