Thank you,

I cloned it down fresh and the PR works on my laptop.

There might be some edge cases it always hard to know but im going to merge it because its a lot better than what is currently present.

I am a bit confused, because now there are two ways to get development environments with different lock files (Flakes and Niv). The flakes.nix file seems to be better maintained, and has changed from 2025, while the niv sources are still from end of 2024. What is the recommended way of getting a dev shell? Can we remove the redundancy?

Thank you for pointing this out. The flake was added recently to make it easier to do CI/CD stuff, both currently work, but you are right we should remove the redundancy.

The fix flake should be the default (unless I'm missing something).

However to simply remove the shell.nix does not feel good if people are using it.

Perhaps we should just do this however and focus on the flake. I love to hear your thoughts on this.
