I decided to channel the rage and frustration caused every time I use my cooker into something creative.

Here, inspired by https://goulartnogueira.github.io/BadUI/ is my Date-cooker.

I've faithfully recreated much of the annoyances of my stove, repurposing the UI for picking a date.

1. Spilling water (e.g. pasta overboiling) on stove causes buttons to count as 'pressed' or to become unusable until fully dried
2. Wiping the stove top also counts as pressing buttons.
3. The lock button, in real life, is far easier to hit by accident.
