I will wait a day or so to merge this just in case either of yall would like to review it. Of course, if you'd like to review but don't have free time at the moment just let me know and we can hold off merging until you've had the time to review.

And as a reminder we need your eyes on #57 to determine if the changed behavior starting from Python 3.9 is expected or not.

Thanks @jGaboardi, what you have here looks good. I really appreciate your flood of work to keep the project alive. 💪

I am busy / away this weekend, but will try to look at #57 on Monday; if not then, then next weekend. I am aware of it.

It looks like it is the only test that is now failing CI. 👏 🙏
