I tried my hand at rewriting the summary at the end of the section Contributing to a project.
I don't know how to improve the other "Workflows summary" that was flagged in #692: https://git-scm.com/book/en/v2/Distributed-Git-Distributed-Workflows. I think that part can be closed as unactionable, but I'll let you decide on that part.
