These are upstream codes. Google thinks they are safe. I will argue in the cran_comments.txt. I hope that CRAN can accept these codes. It is not a good idea to do so many changes to the upstream codebase. |

I have examined the following CRAN checks at https://www.r-project.org/nosvn/R.check/r-release-linux-x86_64/re2r-00check.html and have seen that there are several warnings due to
memset()
